Day 290 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - If We Were Not Born...

Lesson 290: If We Were Not Born...

If we were not born, if we didn’t die, there would be no “container” for this particular human lifetime. The finite nature of our lives is what makes them extraordinary.
— Sara Wiseman

Today we are to think about what else we want to experience in this life with the time we have left.

It’s a bit tough to think about how much time we have left when we don’t have the answer as to when we go. Maybe that’s the point of this lesson… because we don’t know the time we have left on this earth, why aren’t we trying to experience as much as we can?

I know I live for experience in my life. I changed my mindset nearly 2 years ago to really start doing things that brought joy into my life. By living this way, I’ve made some interesting progress and realising the only limit in life is myself.

The only thing I really want to do in life is travel to more places in the world to experience the culture. I want to see how other people live, make a better effort in finding a place to volunteer at and enjoy my time learning. I think that’s the only thing I want to truly experience – seeing other cultures and helping others. I also think that I’ll live until I’m quite old so that’s why I think I have so much time left. I don’t necessarily think I have limited time. I think I have plenty of time. Plus, it takes money to travel and I need time to save.

I think what I’ve embracing is my creative side – more so lately than ever before. It was something that was inside of me that I didn’t know I really had. It’s been great being able to express myself. Painting is becoming part of my experience also. I enjoy it very much.

Apart from these things, I can’t really say there is much more I want to experience. I mean, this may change in 5 years, but for now, I’m quite happy where I am in life.

How about you?

Day 289 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - Perhaps You Have Had Visions...

Lesson 289: Perhaps You Have Had Visions...

There may be times when you have had dreams or visions of past lives or future lives. What if they were occurring in the same time as now in a different reality? They could be… Today we are to think about the other lifetimes that we’ve had and what they show us. Meditate on it if you have to and be shown the answers.

I think I am a broken record here. I have seen past lives of myself as a shield maiden, a queen in Egypt and an emperor’s guard in China as some of my most prominent past lives. Some other past lives I’ve seen is that of Atlantis as a priestess, a native American, a Welsh girl in a small village, a Mayan, a Spaniard, an American man from a farm… it goes on and on. I have been told that I am not from this dimension and that I was sent here to fulfil roles of leadership. If I had any “simple” lifetimes, it was because I needed a break from the roles I was playing in those other lifetimes. My soul mission in this lifetime is to lead people to not fear the unknown and embrace it with faith. That sounds like a very vague and broad message, but I believe I can contribute in my own way and hope that it touches people’s lives for them to accept things that happen in life just the way they are. I have also seen future lives and if I continue on this Earth, then they will be simple lives. If I move onto another dimension, then I’ve seen a future in another world.

Now this may seem odd for some people, but this is how I talk now. This is my normal and I don’t expect everyone to understand. In fact, I don’t need them to. I just want those that share similar paths to appreciate what I’m saying.

What did you find interesting about your past lives and what you were taught about them?

Day 289 - A Year to Clear - Not Knowing

Lesson 289: Not Knowing

Not-knowing is a legitimate state of being.
Not knowing does not mean not caring.
— Stephanie Bennett Vogt

Today we are to breathe in this contemplation.

I really see it as patience. It’s allowing yourself to surrender to a state of being that is acceptance of the unknown. We don’t know what the future hold… and that’s okay. I think it’s embracing the unknown and allowing things to unfold. That’s not to say that I don’t care about my future, but it’s mostly a surrender that within the unknown there is something that reassures us that it all works out.

What did this contemplation bring you today?

Day 288 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - The Departed Are Gone...

Lesson 288: The Departed Are Gone...

Sorry! I had a week off because I was just exhausted. I didn’t have any energy to do the posts at night. I don’t know why I was being physically dragged down but I just needed the rest. Resuming my blog posts now.

When we lose people who pass on, they go on to experience new realms, new life, new experiences and live on through our consciousness. One day, we get to experience this also. Today we are to think about whether or not we believe in reincarnation, or past lives, or other dimensions, other realities. If you don’t believe in this, what do you think happens?

I think it’s safe to say that I believe in an afterlife. I think we are greeted by loved ones and ancestors into our own worlds. I don’t think there is one specific place that looks the same for everyone that passes on. I actually believe it shapes itself based on what our family builds on the other side. From anyone reading previous posts of mine, you would know I was raised catholic and believed in heaven. As I grow on my spiritual path, I see a world beyond the veil and it’s a different environment depending on what you’re doing on the other side and who you might want to see – whether it’s a family member, a guide, an angel… whatever you need at the time.

I do believe we cycle through lifetimes on earth. I think we may have been sent here to fulfil certain missions and soul purpose. We may live many lives before we fulfil what we were sent here to do. I have been given information that I am from another dimension and I have yet to find out exactly why I chose to come here. My missions in my lifetimes was to lead people in various ways based on the time period. If I had a simple life, it was because I was to take a break from these leadership roles. I have a task to do in this lifetime and that is to lead people into the unknown and for them not to fear it. It’s such a broad task and I need to work on the ways people will accept and follow that – not to bring about a following for people to follow my each and every word, but more so to show people a different way of thinking so that they have faith in life’s mysteries.

I think this life is exploration and acceptance. It’s how I can expand to help others. When I move on, I want to know that I contributed in my own way and when I go onto the next life, I would have done enough to complete this task.

What do you believe in?

Day 288 - A Year to Clear - Surrender to Mystery

Lesson 288: Surrender to Mystery

If you understand, things are just as they are. If you do not understand, things are just as they are.
— A Zen Koan

Sorry! I had a week off because I was just exhausted. I didn’t have any energy to do the posts at night. I don’t know why I was being physically dragged down but I just needed the rest. Resuming my blog posts now.

I think we don’t really embrace the unknown. This Zen Koan reminds us that regardless if we know or don’t know something or do something or don’t do something, the world, life, things will just be what they are. It’s like my favourite quote – “Things will work out the way they are supposed to” which is from a TV show Eureka. It’s a reminder that whether you make a decision or not, it will work out either way. To me, this week might be helpful reminders that over worrying about something may not change the outcome. It’s about letting go of control and seeing how intuition can guide you just as well. Let’s see what it brings!
