Energy Oracle Cards - The Sun
/The Sun
My Interpretation of the Card
The sun feeds new life and it feeds you with light. It’s part of the circle of life that binds us all together. Without the sun there would be no life. The sun allows us to grow and things in nature to grow.
Upright
I believe this card represents our relationship to the light. When we are outside soaking in the sun, how does the sun make us feel? It makes us feel warmth, comfort and generally good. That feeling is the sun feeding us with goodness. We can draw strength from the light at any time as it’s always there guiding us and to uplift us. It’s always up above ready to shine it’s light upon us. When we can accept the light, it provides us drive and focus to venture into the activities we love the most. We can be creative, we can start doing things we’ve neglected and learn to appreciate our self and others. Know that you are protected and that the light is there when you need. Continue what you’re doing as you’re on the right path.
Reverse meaning
The sun sinks low and the lady is upside down meaning doubt shadows over you. Are you afraid, doubting yourself, things may be out of control or started to question things going wrong? Have you lost that spark that you need to get you making life moving along? if you’re a bit lost in your way, have you turned yourself away from the light that guides you? Although you may feel overwhelm, take a moment to meditate on light surrounding you or take a walk outside to just absorb nature and feel the goodness come to surround you as the light sheds away the negative space you may be in right now. The light can be regained by thinking about what brings joy to your life. Focus on those activities to bring the sun back up shining. It’s waiting for you to ask for the help you need to get you back on track.
Guidebook meanings - Summarised
New Beginnings and Great Creativity
Upright
The sun is a nurturer, bringer of new life and this is the time for personal growth and new beginnings. The sun brings blessings and it's a good time to start on new projects, cultivating your creativity or even a new you. Time needs to be put into executing your dreams and bringing about your truth. Through visualisation with divine light and love pouring into you, this change can be brought about with many blessings and inspiration. The sun will shine your intentions. You will grow with the sun shining upon you.
Reversed
Are you blocking your own creativity or projects? Are you thinking outside influences are blockages or are you actually standing in your own way? What's stopping you from achieving your goals? Do you stand in your own fear and doubt? The reversed card may mean you're wallowing in your own darkness, have no direction or are confused and it's time to get your power back. Stop the clouds from overshadowing your life and let the light within you shine. Light can bring about renewal or healing that you may require so let go of the doubt and let the light shine through.
**Please note, I did not want to copy Sandra Anne Taylor's meaning literally to my blog as that's copyrighted information so I supplied a summary instead.
Conclusion Between my Interpretation & Guidebook
I thought I did quite well on my first attempt especially with the reversed meaning. I didn't get the feeling of new projects, blessings or ideas could be on the horizon. It makes sense reading the meaning, seeing as the sun renews each day. thought my intuition was quite good on this card intepretation.
