My Interpretation of the Card
It’s okay to place boundaries up when you feel that your energy is being drained by others. This isn’t necessarily about building walls and blocking others out, it’s more so that you can draw a line with certain people that may be taking advantage of you or even not respecting your decisions for self. It allows people to know your limits and what you’re willing or not willing to engage in. Don’t be afraid to speak up about your needs. Establishing boundaries preserves your self-care.
Guidebook Meaning – Summary
Throughout life, we feel restricted in our environment. We have the potential to break old moulds and create new experiences. We just need to be brave and bold to break barriers that we have created ourselves physically or emotionally. It’s okay to take the steps to get over those walls. Moving forward onto a new path may be scary at first but applying faith will get you through. Break away from traditional thinking and find outside of the box ways to face your issues. The universe is encouraging you to explore new ideas and establish your own personal power. Take opportunities as they arise and continue on the momentum to push forward.
Conclusion Between my Interpretation & Guidebook
I took a different approach to this card because I thought the man was placing another brick onto the wall. I can see now the book’s interpretation on the picture. I was more thinking about setting up boundaries in order to preserve self and not be taken advantage of. The guidebook meaning does make more sense, though my interpretation could be the alternative meaning if I was using this card for someone and it so happened to bring about my meaning, rather than the guidebook’s meaning.
