Xmas Dinner OOTD

Ok, so it's a bit late to be posting my Christmas Eve Dinner outfit but the dress is so pretty that I have to share!

I literally bought this dress for $10 from a boutique in Sydney that was closing down. Bought it over a year ago and never wore it. It's a very nice print with pink and black which is my favourite colour combo.

Here are some pics:

Yes, I take a lot of selfies and I don't care what people think!

Hope everyone kept safe these holidays!

We <3 Tokidoki

My search for unicorn apparel began after I randomly started checking into every place on Foursquare with some form of unicorn comment. I stumbled on Tokidoki and have no idea why I was oblivious to this funky, cute, kawaii brand.

How did I discover this? Well Etsy really. Some crafters made necklaces involving Tokidoki unicorns so then I started researching.

Basically this company involves Japanese inspired cartoon characters embossed on clothing, toys, hats, bags, jewellery and make-up.

To give you an idea:

There has been quite a few collections that have been collaborated with other brands such as Hello Kitty, Skull Candy and Levi's with the latest being with Marvel.

They ship internationally and have great gift ideas or presents that you may want to buy for yourself. I am hooked because I am a sucker for cute, kawaii items :D

For the lucky US and Canadian customers, you can buy the make-up directly from Sephora here.

I also didn't realise, some few years ago (more than 5) I had bought a LeSportsac that was designed by Tokidoki and only realized just now.

Check them out! I love all the cute things!

Essence XXXL Nudes Lipgloss - Nude Kiss

img_6888.jpg

Was shopping in Priceline some time ago and there was the Essence stand when it wasn't there before.

Essence is a European brand that is low in cost and also don't test on animals. Perfect!

You're probably thinking, cheap make up does not have great quality. This can be true, but I have nothing but positive reviews for this lipgloss.

Been testing this out for over a week and kept forgetting to think about how long it lasts. I can say it definitely has 4 hour wear before you need to eat and reapply.

It has a light caramel scent - not sure if this is meant to be part of the lipgloss but that's how I find it smells. This nude kiss lipgloss is a light brown / nude shade and does not make your face look pale. For me it blended well with my skin tone:

It is not a heavy lipgloss. I did not get a sticky feeling from it at all and it was moisturizing and kept it's shine. I believe it adds a bit of colour to dull coloured lips. It is easy to wear this with any make-up because the slight hint of colour is not too dramatic so makes it easy to match.

Where to buy?

For US and Canadian customers go here

For European customers go here

Australia - head to your local Priceline

It cost me AU$3.50

Nails inc - Cleopatra's Kiss and We <3 Ita

img_6624.jpg

I'm not one to buy multiple magazines in order to get the free items. For the month of August, this was a first for me as I wanted 2 different nail polishes Cleo offered.

Each nail polish was worth $18 each (according to the magazine) and I bought the magazines for $8 (I think). So overall, I saved money because I spent $16 rather than $36 on nail polishes.

So We <3 Ita is a neon orange colour and Cleopatra's Kiss is a metallic grey glitter. Here is a pic up close:

We <3 Ita fits in perfectly with the current neon trend in Australia. I placed 2 coats on but can still see my underlying nail so it might be best to place a 3rd coat on.

I really love Cleopatra's kiss because it looks like gun metal. It has a silver shimmer finish and perfect for to match with a LBD or some hot pink. With this nail polish, it's great because 1-2 coats wears fine. I have a feeling that Cleopatra's kiss will last longer than We <3 Ita.

I looked around as to where to buy this. For UK customers you can go directly to the Nails Inc site here. For international customers Beauty Bay and Debenhams have it reasonable priced. In Australia, I could only find The Iconic selling Nails Inc nail polish for $49.95 but they were only selling the 30ml bottles where as I have only the 10ml. There is always the option of Ebay and Amazon to purchase these for cheaper as well.

Bring out all the colours for Spring!

Ulta 3 - Mojito

img_6627.jpg

I wanted to wear bright coloured nail polish and mix things up. I went for a bright green and decided to place Ulta 3's Mojito on my toes - my finger nail blog post will be up soon.

It's hard to describe this colour because it doesn't wear as a direct neon green colour. It is more of a turquoise mixed in with bright green. It looks creamy when you apply it also. I used only 2 coats and with all Ulta 3 nail polishes, it dries fast.

Please excuse my photos - I am not the largest fan of feet either.

Mojito is a fun colour for Spring time. With the 2 extremes currently in Australia, pastels and neons, this almost fits into both - not too bright to be a neon but too vibrant to be a pastel. You could make it into a pastel colour - mint by adding a lighter creamy shade into it if you so desire.

I like this green colour because it can be worn with yellows, pinks and blues. I see a nice pair of wedges paired with this.

This cost $2 from any Terry White chemist or any other participating outlets. It's cheap and easy to wear so no hassles!
