Cheetah / Leopard OOTD

img_6592.jpg

I can't really tell if this is strictly leopard or cheetah so I believe it's both!

I really loved the top and it was on sale so that is always a bonus!

The clothing I wore:

Leopard / Cheetah top: $10 on sale from Supre

Leggings: $8 from Kmart

Diamonte bow flats: $15 from Kmart

Black Singlet: $10 from Chica Booti

Sorry it's a blurry shot of my shoes.

I think this is a great outfit for spring. It's nice to wear breezy, flowy tops as the temperature ramps up. It's easy, simple and cheap :D

Welcome Spring Time!

Maybelline Color Tattoo - Painted Purple

img_6577.jpg

I know I have done this review before for the Tenacious Teal here but I really liked the purple and decided to make the purchase since Chemist Warehouse had it on special for $7.77.

This is a rich vibrant colour and really pops when you apply it your your eyelids. Now, what I decided to do was test it out 2 ways. One way was to go by the instructions as detailed instore on the display - dot the colour on your eyelid and blend out. This was the result:

I found that the colour was really light when dabbing it on. Not as light as lilac but more of a darker lavender colour. Sorry if this pic is blurry! The second way I decided to test was with an eye shadow brush made especially for cream eye shadows. This was the result:

By using the brush, you can see a deeper tone and it is much bolder to wear it this way. I would personally blend this with other colours as I do not like wearing just the one colour and the tutorial on the Maybelline website found here shows you a dramatic look using 4 different colours.

I only wanted to show the colours to you so you have an idea of what it looks like. I am not that fancy when it comes to doing eye make-up and the pictures are not the usual way I would wear it either :)

The colour of the eye shadow does not come out as how dark as it looks. That's not to say you can't blend this with other colours to get the exact shade you see in the picture. Remember, it has 24 hour wear so it's long lasting and also does not leave those dodgy crease marks into your eye lids. The idea of this eye shadow cream is that it's easy to wear with no hassles with it rubbing off or fading.

I would wear this colour with a hot pink lipstick or translucent pink lipgloss. It would also work well with red lips or blue if you're game enough. I can also see this working well with neon clothing. Some bright yellow and purple eyes would work a beaut!

Testing out Sukin Hair Care

Over here in Australia, all I see is a brand named Sukin. Sukin lotion, Sukin shampoo, Sukin night cream, Sukin Sukin Sukin.

So I decided to test out this moisture restoring shampoo and conditioner.

I have been testing these products for at least 2 months.

The reason why I tried out this product is because it is an Australian owned company and is organic. They are carbon neutral, environmentally friendly in the packaging and are free of animal testing or use of any by-products derived from animals.

I do not remember the pricing on these products but remember it being around $10 each. The claim is that it detangles hair and contains moisture enriching products to restore dry/damaged hair and leave your hair silky smooth. I can honestly say that this has not worked for me. My hair still feels dry and tangles all the time. This is not to say that it wouldn't work for someone else but in my own personal experience, I can safely say I will not be buying this particular product again.

I bought this product purely out of interest. I also made in my purchase some rosehip oil and I am still in the process of testing this out on the scarring of my face.

Overall, I say use the product if you want to support natural products free of harm to animals and the environment. Results may not be what you want them to be, but at least you know you have purchased a product that is not cruel to the environment.

Rimmel Match Perfection Blush - Medium

img_6530.jpg

Now for Rimmel Blush :)

This was another purchase at Chemist Warehouse and it cost $9.72 down from $14.95. I never used to wear blush but now kind of have an obsession with it.

What I like about this shade is that it gives natural finish with a healthy glow. Because of the tri-coloured palette, it is easy enough to blend out a shade that suits your taste as well as skin tone. I believe it's versatile in this way.

Here is a pic of my testing out of the product:

I like to go with a rosey colour on my skin. In this photo, I tried hard to get as much colour on so that you could see it in the picture. I usually wear blush when I look dull to liven up my face.

I thought I made a good purchase in this Medium palette. I am not a brown blush user, so the only reviews I would do are all the shades of pink, reds or corals. More blush reviews coming up soon.

Rimmel Vinyl Max - Dazzle

img_6540.jpg

Went out to Chemist Warehouse to get allergy medicine and there was 30% off all make-up. I am not one that buys Rimmel, but thought I would test out the products. One of the items I bought was Vinyl Max in Dazzle.

What intrigued me about this product was the massively over sized wand. I believe the point of the wand is to glide the Lip Gloss in one stroke. Well, that's what I imagine.

As you know I am a fan of the pink lip shades and will gladly test any pink shade out until the end of the world. Rather than get a hot pink shade, I opted in the light pink.

This Lip Gloss is a translucent pink gloss that has silver and pink glitter through it. I like the consistency of the gloss and it gives max shine. It's easy to wear and has a nice scent to it. I am not sure if it is meant to have a scent but it smells fruity to me.

The only issue I found is that because of the over sized applicator, it means too much Lip Gloss is present before gliding it onto the lips. For me, it's alright because when I butt my lips, it will be enough distribution. Sometimes it is over kill when I apply but I think about those with thinner lips, and you would really need to wipe off most of the gloss before application.

I bought this gloss for $9.72 on sale with the usual price at $14.95. Because I am a major fan of lip gloss, I thought it was good to pay a discounted price. In terms of the gloss, I like the colour, it doesn't dry out and can be worn with any make-up. The only downside I saw was the massive wand and applicator. All in all, there is no special feature of this gloss that would make it out shine other brands but I thought I would share it for those that may have been interested.
