Lesson 142: Real Ease

Here is Part 1 of today’s contemplation:
Ease is not about doing or making something happen. It is a state of being. It is pure receptivity.

And Part 2:
Real + Ease = Release
— Stephanie Bennett Vogt

Reading the lesson, it sounds really simple. It’s about letting go and being open. That’s how I read it. if we release what is holding us back or not serving us well, our emotions and feelings towards that situation or thought are released, and then we relax or ease off.

The question is how does one do this easily? I don’t necessarily think it’s always an easy feat. It takes a lot of self-awareness and mindfulness. Like I’ve mentioned before, it’s about processes your thoughts and then getting rid of those that don’t do good things for you. It’s like sifting through what’s good and what’s not, then releasing the mental clutter. But, you have to determine what’s good for you. I think anything that causes overwhelm needs to go. I usually have to breathe through these thoughts in order for it to be released. I deal with it, breathe (like a little meditation) and move on. I think this is how I open myself to receptivity. Other methods I can think of is putting on music and dancing - like I’m dancing away all of the things that have bothered me. Cleaning to music is also a good method for me.

What methods do you use to bring about ease?
