Lesson 142: Real Ease

Here is Part 1 of today’s contemplation:
Ease is not about doing or making something happen. It is a state of being. It is pure receptivity.

And Part 2:
Real + Ease = Release
— Stephanie Bennett Vogt

Reading the lesson, it sounds really simple. It’s about letting go and being open. That’s how I read it. if we release what is holding us back or not serving us well, our emotions and feelings towards that situation or thought are released, and then we relax or ease off.

The question is how does one do this easily? I don’t necessarily think it’s always an easy feat. It takes a lot of self-awareness and mindfulness. Like I’ve mentioned before, it’s about processes your thoughts and then getting rid of those that don’t do good things for you. It’s like sifting through what’s good and what’s not, then releasing the mental clutter. But, you have to determine what’s good for you. I think anything that causes overwhelm needs to go. I usually have to breathe through these thoughts in order for it to be released. I deal with it, breathe (like a little meditation) and move on. I think this is how I open myself to receptivity. Other methods I can think of is putting on music and dancing - like I’m dancing away all of the things that have bothered me. Cleaning to music is also a good method for me.

What methods do you use to bring about ease?

Day 142 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - The Heart of Connection

Lesson 142: The Heart of Connection...

Connection is a beautiful thing…. That deep, genuine connection that makes you feel lucky to have. Today is about understanding that the third passage of the heart will come when it’s supposed to. To me, it’s all in Divine timing and we are placed in the right situations at the right time when we are supposed to be there. Are you impatient for your own spiritual awakening? Write down anything that pops up and then release this need you have for it. Everything will flow the way it’s supposed to and there is no need to rush it.

I didn’t know I would be spiritually awakened. I didn’t really believe in anything at the time and then it just came like some form of salvation. I was at the lowest of lows in my life and I knew I was the only one that could get me out of my darkness, though I didn’t know how. It was only when I asked for some answer, I was awakened. Now, I’m not saying you have to be in total despair to have a spiritual awakening – that is just my own experience. I think people start affiliating to belief systems out of pure interest. You find something that resonates, you read about it and you follow it based on your own feelings towards it. I don’t actually believe in religious systems because I personally find it restrictive. I think people should create their own belief system out of anything they want to follow – even if that’s taking bits and pieces from all different systems and making it their own. I am a bit like that and go off what I feel is right.

I also believe that every person’s journey should be their own. We are the product of our environment, so why not make it the best that we can? No one should be telling you how you should live and that’s the same with your belief system. There shouldn’t be a right or wrong in what you what to follow spiritually. Everything you adopt should be what you feel resonates you at your core, and not be what people tell you it should be. It really is a good exploration of self and when you start all the inner work, it’s the spark that lights your path. I truly believe that’s how most people are awakened –wanting to do the inner work that leads to enlightenment.

Tell me what spiritual workings you resonate with. I am accepting of all beliefs.
