Lesson 166: Mind Your Own Business

When we become more aware of detaching ourselves from thoughts and things that no longer serve us, that can only bring good into our lives. That’s what this course is all about right? Clearing to make space in our lives. Today we are to think about what the world would be like if we compassionately minded our own business and allowing others to mind theirs.

As I think about this lesson, I think most people do mind their own business but to think about it with compassion is a different task. I think having the understanding that everyone has a story and this influences how they are as people – this gives us a chance to apply that compassion. If we apply compassion in minding our own business, it means we allow others to work through whatever they are going through, but also allows us to be forgiving in recognising how people act the way they do.

I think this is what it means to compassionately mind my own business. There is a level forgiveness and understanding we need to take in order to spread goodness. Sometimes we need to lead the change. It would take practise of course, though I feel like with patience and understanding, this allows compassion in us to grow.
