Day 278 - A Year to Clear - What Clearing Is (And Isn't)

Lesson 278: What Clearing Is (And Isn't)

We can only clear to the degree that we are in the present moment, have a clear intent, and have no attachment to the outcome.
— Stephanie Bennett Vogt

Today we are to consider the statement. It’s what has been taught in these lessons throughout this whole year and it’s good to be reminded of it. I know the attachment to items all too well. It is the attached memory that gets me good, which is why it’s good to be reminded every so often that clearing is all about being present – asking yourself if that item serves you in the now. When you do away with attachment, it makes it easier to let go.

I decided the other day that I need to do another clearing session of my physical clutter. I have been working on my mental clutter for so long as I felt like this was a priority. There was so much lingering in my conscious mind and subconscious, that it was in in good time. I even had a depression slump in August, but went back into myself to figure out why. That was solved by myself, a friend and a mentor. We really can be our own worst enemies sometimes, but I am definitely out of that blip.

What I do need is to plan a day of just clearing out my closets once and for all. It’s time to really let go once and for all. Well it’s definitely the aim before the end of the year. I just cycle through the same clothes at the moment and it really means a large portion of clothing can go. I will remember to sit with each item for a moment and ask myself if it serves me and if not, just let it go. it’s easier said than done but I really got to commit.

Day 268 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - Being Conscious is More Than...

Lesson 268: Being Conscious is More Than...

Being conscious is more than just about “being here now.” It’s about being here now and seeing the dream. Seeing the dream, dreaming the dreaming, being in the dream, letting go of the dream and knowing they’re all the same.
— Sara Wiseman

Today we are to think about what the dream is. Can we see what’s real and what the difference is.

I personally feel that the dream is about living a wholesome life. Making sure you do everything you want in it and leading a good life. I think you don’t necessarily need to make grand impact on the world. I just think you need to be kind to one another, be a good example to those around you, be a good support for the people you love as well as being grateful for what you have.

I think what’s important is that there is nothing stopping me from living in this way. I definitely try to practise what I believe is to be true. In most part I think I achieve all of these expectations I have of myself.

Do my dreams extend further? Yeah for sure. I want to write books and have them touch people’s lives in different ways. Why is this important? Because I want people to think about their inner truth, not fall into line to the control that society has on us and to think about being better in the world, not only for themselves but for other people. If I keep getting visions that I’m supposed to lead, then why not lead? I keep telling myself and others that I would prefer to lead by example. I don’t necessarily want to be a leader of a group or an ideal, but rather live my life in a positive way and have people learn from it that way.

I think dreams become reality if you take it up as an action in your life. I don’t think dreams become reality just because you will it to.
