Day 268 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - Being Conscious is More Than...

Lesson 268: Being Conscious is More Than...

Being conscious is more than just about “being here now.” It’s about being here now and seeing the dream. Seeing the dream, dreaming the dreaming, being in the dream, letting go of the dream and knowing they’re all the same.
— Sara Wiseman

Today we are to think about what the dream is. Can we see what’s real and what the difference is.

I personally feel that the dream is about living a wholesome life. Making sure you do everything you want in it and leading a good life. I think you don’t necessarily need to make grand impact on the world. I just think you need to be kind to one another, be a good example to those around you, be a good support for the people you love as well as being grateful for what you have.

I think what’s important is that there is nothing stopping me from living in this way. I definitely try to practise what I believe is to be true. In most part I think I achieve all of these expectations I have of myself.

Do my dreams extend further? Yeah for sure. I want to write books and have them touch people’s lives in different ways. Why is this important? Because I want people to think about their inner truth, not fall into line to the control that society has on us and to think about being better in the world, not only for themselves but for other people. If I keep getting visions that I’m supposed to lead, then why not lead? I keep telling myself and others that I would prefer to lead by example. I don’t necessarily want to be a leader of a group or an ideal, but rather live my life in a positive way and have people learn from it that way.

I think dreams become reality if you take it up as an action in your life. I don’t think dreams become reality just because you will it to.

Lesson 268: Follow Your Knows

Today’s lesson is about following what you know. I feel like it’s following your intuition or gut feeling. Basically, Stephanie Bennett Vogt lives by an easy tool:

  • If it feels right, I do it.

  • If it doesn't feel right, I don't do it.

  • If I don't know, I wait until I know.

Personally, I sometimes forget to trust my instincts. Usually when I don’t follow that feeling, I get mad at myself for not following my own knowing. It usually ends with me getting into a messy situation or having to back track and re-do a task.

I think the lesson is simple and a reminder of just following what feels right. When people try to talk you out of something, keep following your own feelings. I think it can be a trap when people are coercing you or trying to convince you to do something that you don’t necessarily want to do.

I needed this reminder today. It’s so simple but effective.
