Maybelline Color Tattoo - Tenacious Teal

On another Priceline run, there was Maybelline Color Tattoos on special! Currently Maybelline is on a 3 for 2 special but I paid $7.95 on special. From memory it was $14.95 regular price I think!

Instantly drawn to this range, I thought I would check out what was on offer. I was tossing up between the purple and teal and decided on this deep, rich colour. I may go back and get the purple but haven't decided yet. I liked that the Tenacious Teal was still bright even as a darker shade.

Ok, so this isn't the best application and I sort of just rushed it on. It is a cream gel shadow and it is a lot brighter in person than in picture.

The model pic seems a little bit too bright in my opinion so it makes me think the below pic had some other colours blended.

Possibly I might have to add more of the cream gel on to get this effect but I believe some editing may have been involved with this pic too.

What's good about this product is that it does not crease like it advertises and has 24 hour wear. Not that you need to wear this for 24 hours.... I think it is just promoting that it's long lasting.

I like the Tenacious Teal because it's one of those electrifying colours. It stands out but also makes you look a bit more lively in the face.

I think with this colour you can go with simple nude lips or bright pink lipstick would really work too! This colour is versatile in that it's bright enough for summer but also great for an evening occasion.

Maybelline Colorsensational - Mango Diamonds

So I was in Priceline again, (Surprise, surprise) and found that Maybelline products were 50% off. Awesome! Rather than pay $16 for a lipstick, it meant that I could get it for $8. I'm really good at maths as you can tell :P

I decided to go with a colour that wasn't pink. This time I chose Maybelline's Mango Diamonds which is to me a peachy, coral, orange lipstick. I feel that it is a really warm colour and I can't pin point the colour exactly. It's glides on smoothly and does not crack into your lips. I like this colour with a nice casual dress and to me is more suited to the warmer months. I am definitely saving this for when Australia comes out of winter and spring time comes along! I think of florals when I see this lipstick on. Mixing this colour with a blue floral dress - that's what I imagine.

With this lipstick as well, it has a subtle gold sparkle when you put it on. This is probably the reason why it's called Mango Diamonds :D You can see this gold tinge on the lower lip of my picture.

I find that the colour is not overpowering and would suit lighter skin tones the best. It does not go on heavy and feels like its moisturizing your lips at the same time. The range had so many colours to offer from browns, neutrals, reds, pinks and oranges. I think there is definitely a lipstick for everyone in this range.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

My Favourite Eyeliner Right Now....

Right now, I am loving the Gel Eyeliners. I find that it's easy to apply, it sets very nicely and does not smudge.

It's an alternative to liquid eye liner for those who don't like or have not mastered the application with liquid liners. I feel you can still get the same effect with gel liners as you do liquid.

I have been using Maybelline's Eye Studio Lasting Drama in Black. I find that I can get a nice dramatic effect on my eyes.

I bought mine for about $15-$20(can't remember) but managed to find some stores online that sell it for $10 - Amazon, CVS Pharmacy, Drugstore.com, Bloom.com, Walgreens, Purchase Direct - just to name a few.

It's perfect to wear on it's own or if you want to make a bold statement with your eye make-up.

I think I have officially ditched all other eye liners for gel - I love it!
