His and Her Beanies

Now, I couldn't go through winter without doing a beanie special! Like any fashion accessory, there are so many to choose from and it's finding what your style is all about.

I thought I would include both men's and women's because most beanies are unisex :)

So from City Beach they are having a beanie sale from as low as $7.00. Here are some of my favourites:

Ok, so the last one is just for novelty but check out the website on some great surf and skate brands. There are some really cheap finds.

~~~~~
CCS offer beanies on sale also, but I particularly wanted to show off the Neff headwear on sale on this website. My boyfriend bought me a cupcake beanie and I just had to share it.
All these beanies cost $14.99 and CCS offer free shipping using the Code IPCC2742. Neff actually offer more in their range for novelty beanies but they normally would cost around $40. I just wanted to offer what was on sale. You can find more Neff items at Dogfunk and Tilly's
~~~~~

ASOS have beanies as low as $5.00. Here are a range of women's and men's beanies that I particularly liked. As always there is free shipping :)

~~~~~
Light in the Box has many beanies though the majority seem out of stock at the moment. Here are some beanies available that I liked. Most priced from $15-$20.
I found that even though most beanies had girls wearing them, the majority are unisex.
~~~~~

Village Hat Shop offers hats and beanies as low as $12.95. You can get Free Shipping if using the code FREESHIP60.

You will find that most of the beanies are unisex, thought some are specifically for women. I especially like the beanie hats which incorporate the beanie with the cap beak.

~~~~~
For most people in Australia, you can find cheap beanies at shops like Cotton on, Equip and Jay Jays. If you want to shop online, I guess it would be about searching for particular colours, styles and brands.
In most part, I found most beanies cost on average $15.00. Remember to click on the pictures to be redirected to the websites.
Kick on your Winter Boots
What a perfect time to bring out your boots as the heart of Winter approaches. I find it hard personally to find boots that I like as well as look good on me. There are so many styles, cuts, designs, colours and height on boots these days, no wonder we have a hard time choosing!
I thought I would share my personal favourites that include heeled and wedged boots. They might not be in everyone's taste but wanted to give you an idea of the trends out there on the market.
ASOS ABLAZE Super High Wedge
I really love these boots and will probably place an order today for them purely because they have gingerbread men on them. I do like the colour as well. This does come in various colours and patterns including floral and snake skin on Asos and currently there is up to 70% off items for both women and men on the website. This particular pair costs AU$48.93.
Cassie Boot
I like the colour of this boot, because it's a peachy pink colour. It's very simple and I can see this worn with dresses and leggings. It costs $49.94 from Rubi from the Cotton on Group. I saw this in the shops but stopped myself from buying them.
Delta
Novo offers this chocolate brown heeled boot with faux snake trimmings for $89.95. I like this pair of boots because it's simple and can be worn for work or with a casual outfit.
GIVE HIM THE BOOT HEELS IN ORANGE
Lucy in the Sky offers a great range of shoes, though right now many are sold out. This particular pair of boots comes in a range of colours though you may have trouble finding your size. Right now, they are offering free shipping with no minimum spend, so you might find some great finds at this website. I like this style because it's looks comfortable to walk in which is always a bonus.
Zarla Ankle Boot
I like the lacey/doley detailing on the ankle top of these boots. I found these on Bird's Nest for $59.95 and what I like about this website is that it will match the boots with clothing sold on the website. For this particular boot, it matched it with 7 outfits that you can try.
SPURR - Roxanne Spike Lace-Up Boots
Now, I can understand why these boots aren't for everyone but I really loved the spiked detailing on the back of these heels. This pair of boots do come in different colours from The Iconic for $69.95. I saw these in red but they didn't have my size :( but not to worry because there is a such a great range and free shipping, so there are many boots to choose from :)
Therapy - Surpass Red
It's a simple boot but I like how the colour pops! It does come in black and leopard print from Style Tread and the good thing about this site as well is that they offer Free Delivery. This pair if boots costs $59.95
Tonto
These ankle boots also come in black and I like the strapped design at the front. Mollini offer these boots for $80 - currently on sale. I like the buckle style and I feel that this would look great with a party dress or sheer tights.
~~~~~~~

Now, I don't want to over do it and place as many boots crammed into one blog post :) There are so many boots out there that I like but thought I would throw in my favourite picks. Check out the websites as there is so many different boots on sale right now.

Lust Have It - May

Yes I know! I'm a bit behind but it's all good because the product samples I received from Lust Have It! in May is worth it. Now, with the takeover of Glossybox, I was a bit hesitant to continue my subscription because I wasn't sure of the brands on offer to keep going.

I gave it a go and this is what I received:

As soon as I opened this bag, it was heavenly aromas bursting out of it! I have to thank Lush for this for making amazing Lust soap that is jasmine infused with perfumes. I don't want to use it and would happily sniff it all day long. I like that Lush is against using products that are tested on animals and also hand make all the products. What's good about their website is that they state when a product Jim completely vegan which is good to know for those living that lifestyle. This soap costs $6.95 for a 100g block.

20120703-201442.jpg

What was also included was a sample of Chloe perfume. I have always loved this perfume as it is rose petals mixed in with natural rose water. It is not an overpowering smell and is great to give off a soft scent. I think this is more of an Inbetween winter and summer perfume. This can be bought from the Lust website for $80 for 30ml but I did manage to find a 100ml bottle online for $100 from Cosmetics Now.

Next, there was 3 Biore products. I received a pore unclogging scrub, triple action toner and pore strips. The pore scrub usually retails at $10.99, toner for $8.99 and pore strips $10.49 for 14 strips. I managed to find these items at chemist warehouse for approx. 30% off but I know that Priceline also offers these products. Biore can be found at local pharmacies and local beauty stores.

20120703-205027.jpg

Next I received a Showface Eyeshadow in a silver colour. It didn't list the item shade and the notes indicate that there are 45 colours to choose from. When going to the website, I felt that the only option was to buy a palette and for 30 colours, it cost $165. Not the cheapest of options and it's hard to tell the quality of these products. I guess the good thing about the palette is that you get to choose your colours where as pre-packed items in retail stores more set as they are. Good thing about this company is that it offers courses for retail beauty and skin care.

Final sample I received was a OPI nail polish from the Nicole range. It was a deep purple and I wasn't given the name unfortunately! The Nicole range has so many different colours on offer and I counted over 100.

20120703-211153.jpg

I'm not a big fan of lighter purples so was happy to receive this colour. I prefer the deeper shades of purple. This nail polish range can be bought from the OPI website for $14.95 or there is the option to buy this from Hairhouse Warehouse or Terry White Chemists. I did manage to find the nail polishes for $7.99 from Ulta. I found that there is a lot of campaigning for the Kardashian range on the OPI website as well. Don't be put off by it if you're not a fan because the colour range on this collection is enormous!

So there you have it! All the products from the May Lust Have It! beauty box. I really enjoyed this pack because it came with a Mother's day card which meant you could gift the pack, keep it for yourself or give the card to mum with some really nice poetry inside.

The post for June is coming real soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Maybelline Colorsensational - Mango Diamonds

20120702-192601.jpg

So I was in Priceline again, (Surprise, surprise) and found that Maybelline products were 50% off. Awesome! Rather than pay $16 for a lipstick, it meant that I could get it for $8. I'm really good at maths as you can tell :P

I decided to go with a colour that wasn't pink. This time I chose Maybelline's Mango Diamonds which is to me a peachy, coral, orange lipstick. I feel that it is a really warm colour and I can't pin point the colour exactly. It's glides on smoothly and does not crack into your lips. I like this colour with a nice casual dress and to me is more suited to the warmer months. I am definitely saving this for when Australia comes out of winter and spring time comes along! I think of florals when I see this lipstick on. Mixing this colour with a blue floral dress - that's what I imagine.

20120702-193632.jpg

With this lipstick as well, it has a subtle gold sparkle when you put it on. This is probably the reason why it's called Mango Diamonds :D You can see this gold tinge on the lower lip of my picture.

20120702-200050.jpg

I find that the colour is not overpowering and would suit lighter skin tones the best. It does not go on heavy and feels like its moisturizing your lips at the same time. The range had so many colours to offer from browns, neutrals, reds, pinks and oranges. I think there is definitely a lipstick for everyone in this range.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Coolest Find of the month - July

Sorry that I have been away for so long! It's been a combination of laziness, life stress and socialcam addiction.

Not to worry because I have a friend from socialcam that showed off his Remix Watch and I was instantly intrigued. Basically he was showing off his outfit of the night which included this watch that lights up with different colours. It's a flashing LED light and perfect to make a statement in the clubs. I absolutely love the idea of my watch flashing ALL the colours so I had to check it out.

The great thing about this watch is that you can pop out the face of the watch and switch it over to another coloured band. That means over 100 colour combinations! It's also unisex and waterproof.

There are currently 2 different sets on sale. The time bomb collection features the standard face with LED illumination. There is currently 12 different bands on offer with prices US$44.95-$49.95.

The Rox collection features the analog face with encrusted Swarovski crystals. I personally liked this collection more as I liked the crystals on the face of the watch. It comes in 11 colours at US$54.95. I bought a pink and white watch from this collection.

In addition to this, Remix Watches currently have their plain bands on special for US$9.95 down from $19.95. In order to mix up your watches, you'd have to buy a few plain bands. I bought black, purple and red to mix with my pink and white faces.

I managed to find a discount code that worked - FOLLOW25. This gave me 25% off the total and somehow managed to score free shipping to Australia. The store is based in the US and it states free domestic shipping so wasn't sure if my total was a mistake but I'll take it!

Will most likely post some vids up on my socialcam when I receive the watches. Am very excited and thought it was a reasonably priced watch with a funky look.

Hope you liked this watch special! I think it's a good gift idea if you are stuck for a present :)
