So I was really excited to receive my glossy box today! It arrived in this box:

I thought the postage stamp had ruined the box but luckily there was another box inside! Pictured below is what I received:

I was quite impressed because not only did I receive the samples but also received promo codes inside for the products. Glossybox also list the range of products they were offering that month with a brief description on what each does :) Good thing is you can recycle the box, keeping it for make-up and accessories or use it as a gift box.

Here are some close up pictures of what I received:

I am instantly in love with the kosmea hydrating rose water spray mist. It is very refreshing and leaves a light rose scent on your face. It definitely woke me up because of the addicting smell making you want more!

I would definitely recommend this to anyone and am excited to see what the new months bring :D

Coolest Find of the Month - March

This month I bring you Glossy Box. It is a slowly growing trend that is a great concept for all Men and Women.

Glossy Box is a product sample box delivered to your home every month for $14.95. They also do a men's product box for $19.95 per month.

I believe this is a great way to test products that you might not be aware of or if you were a bit hesitant to buy something, get the option to try it out first. Plus, it comes in a nicely packaged box which I'm sure you can store all your beauty products in.

Each month you get sent 5 sample products and by completing a beauty profile, Glossy Box will attempt to send you products based on your needs. For men, they receive 6-8 products to sample. The range of products are listed on the website and you can also see past beauty product boxes sent.

Also, by referring friends and completing the survey (that is sent every month based on your products), you earn glossy points and if you earn 1000 glossy points you get your next box free!

The also great thing about this, is that if you like the product you can go to the brands listing on the website and click on the links to buy the products.

Also, If you redeem this voucher code PPGLOSSY12, you will receive 50% off your first Glossy Box. Can't say when it will expire but I have used it and it worked fine for me.

So sign up! Refer your friends! And Enjoy!

Coolest Find of the Month - February

So just like my other post, this is late due to my computer issues but I found this cool item long ago and wanted to share it in February.

This is an amazing product created by Kevin Murphy. It is called Color Bug and was created because he wanted to add wild coloured hair to his models on the runway but no hassles in applying it and removing it.

He wanted it to be like make-up, in that it's a fun way to add colour to ensemble or if you just feel like having crazy coloured hair for a day - that'll work too.

Here is the video of Kevin demonstrating how to apply Color Bug to different coloured hair. He even tells you what products to use in order to get the colour to set and how to work in intensifying the colour.

So the product costs $24.95 and you can buy it from most online hair styling or beauty stores. Some suggestions include Adore Beauty, My Haircare or Daly ST Salon. This hair shadow is easily removed by washing it out in the shower. I think depending on how much you use, you could easily get multiple applications out of the one tub.

I think it's quirky and fun and is a great way to spruce up your outfit!

Coolest Find of the Month - January

Heated Eyelash Curler

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Modelco Turbo Lash Wand
Some of you may already know about this product but I thought it is a cool product from Modelco that helps sleek your eyelashes and make them look naturally curled and longer.
You can directly buy the Turbo Lash Wand from the Modelco website for AU$35 and I remember watching this on the news some time ago and that's why I thought to include it on my blog. I have read beauty and fashion forums such as Vogue and most users swear by this product. I realize it's not the cheapest product to buy so I thought to include some cheaper alternatives as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1000 Hour Heated Eyelash Curler

Found this on Ry (stands for Recreate Yourself) for AU$16.16. I have seen this sold at our local Priceline. Normal retail price is $17.95.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Manicare Heated Eyelash Curler 23001
Found this at Okme for AU$12.99. Normally retails at AU$17.50.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ardell Heated Eyelash Curler

This I also found at Okme. This sells for AU$8.95 and normally retails at AU$10.49. Also Okme offers free shipping with orders over $75.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You may be already aware of this and thinking this is old school, but it's good to share for those who never thought of it. It's great for a gift for someone you know who is into their make-up and beauty products.
I think it's nifty and am always up for making my eyelashes look longer.
Have your Make-up and Eat it Too!!
Does anyone remember the Dessert Treats beauty range Jessica Simpson came out with? I managed to find some of her range lingering on Ebay and this sent me on a hunt to find more edible make-up. Let me know what you think of these finds or feel free to leave some suggestions of edible products on the market today.
DeVine Lip Shimmers
These are wine flavoured lip glosses. The flavours come in Rose, Merlot, Vanilla Spritzer, Bordeaux and Champagne. Rather than getting tipsy, you have this unique option to wear your wine! I think it's a good idea if you have the craving for the taste but don't want to down an alcoholic beverage. It costs US$5.99 for a two-pack
Urban Decay Sparkling Lickable Body Powder
This product is great because it's a shimmery powder that you can dust over your body. The flavours are honey, marshmallow and cocoa and though you can glow and look sparkly, you can also have someone kiss or lick the powder away. Good selling point to someone you are interested in ;) This costs US$29 on Urban Decay's website.
Lush Lip Scrub
Lush offer a vegan range of lip balms and lip scrubs. This lip scrub helps to exfoliate your lips but it is also edible because it's made of castor sugar. They offer a few different flavours and what I have listed is bubblegum. The lip scrub will also keep your lips smooth and if you need a little sugar fix, this is perfect! It costs AU$9.95 directly off their website.
Green Dragon Herbals Flavoured Perfumes
I know the picture isn't very enticing, but Green Dragon Herbals offers edible massage lotions, body powders and now flavoured perfumes. At the moment, they only offer a Vanilla Caramel and a Chocolate perfume for US$11.95. Green Herbal create natural products and ensure freshness in all their products. You will smell yummy and be edible by wearing these perfumes. Can totally have fun with it!
Eco Lips Pure & Simple Lip Care
Eco Lips creates lip care products made from organic materials. You wouldn't be able to find their products in store and the Pure and Simple range are 100% edible. The flavours offered are Grape, Kiwi-Strawberry and Coconut. They market for vegans also and promote that organic products are better for the environment. The cost of each lip balm US$1.99 each and the products used are natural.
Tootsie Roll / Junior Mint Double Sided Lip Gloss
I found this randomly on candy.com but it does say it is not edible. I thought I would mention it because it takes 2 American candy treats and infuses it into the lip gloss. I figure the flavour of the lip gloss would be close to actually eating the treats. This was listed as gifts under $10.
Jessica Simpson's Dessert Treats
If you are interested in Jessica Simpson's dessert treats, you can find the lotions and lip glosses on some make-up websites or Ebay. The pictures shown above cost about US$30-35 for the lotions. Amazon.com does sell the products also with the lip glosses starting from US$3.99. I can't remember if the lotions and lip glosses were edible but I remember the perfumes - Sweet Kisses being edible (if they still make them). Apparently this line was discontinued.
Jaqua Raspberry Buttercream Frosting Lip Whip
Jaqua has created a beauty range that is based on cake flavours. They sell lotions, body washes, body mist, body scrub, hand soap, lip gloss and body butter. The range sounds delicious and I think the fragrances would make you want to eat everything. I think the lip gloss is the only item that is edible and I have seen the items on Amazon.com for Caramel Cappuccino Lip whip and Mint Chocolate Lip Whip. The average price for this lip whip is US$14.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Let me tell you, it's hard to find edible products that weren't of the exotic kind. The main items that are edible are lip glosses. Hope this gives you an idea to pizazz your beauty range and have fun with it too! :)
