Finding Formula 10.0.6

Wandering around in shops is good. You find new products that you wouldn't notice if you rush. I like going shopping by myself because I take my time, walk like a turtle and have a good browse of shops I wouldn't normally.

The other day I stumbled upon a new find: Formula 10.0.6.

I'm like the worst person when it comes to a beauty routine and cleansing my face properly. My purchase was the Best Face Forward Daily Foaming Cleanser which I have used daily since I bought it.  I also purchased Down to the Pore Strips but will review it once used :) I have combination skin and the annoying this is when my face gets oily under my make-up. I really enjoy using this product because it is refreshing and actually smells like passionfruit and green tea when it foams on your face. I have already noticed the change in the reduction of the blackheads on my face. It's amazing! My main issue is my blackheads so I am glad to be working towards getting rid of them. I'm hoping to get a toner and moisturiser from the same brand because I'm in love with the product. Right now, I am using a light Nivea toner and Oil of Olay - will review once I buy more products :D

For Australian customers, you can only purchase this from Priceline and Big W by going in store according to the website. I bought mine for $9.99 from Priceline. The online websites that I could find that sold it cheaper for $7.50 was OKme and Cincotta Chemist. US and Canadian customers can purchase this from online direct from the website here and buy it for $5.99- you will need to register behind going through check out. Other countries listed that this product is sold can be found here.

This product is part of the Bonne Bell Company and have confirmed that they do not test on animals and use plant based products on this post here. I'm glad that I found this product because I never noticed it because there has never been any major advertising for it - from what I can see.

I like sharing products people may not have had the opportunity to try, so I hope you like it.

My Favourite Eyeliner Right Now....

Right now, I am loving the Gel Eyeliners. I find that it's easy to apply, it sets very nicely and does not smudge.

It's an alternative to liquid eye liner for those who don't like or have not mastered the application with liquid liners. I feel you can still get the same effect with gel liners as you do liquid.

I have been using Maybelline's Eye Studio Lasting Drama in Black. I find that I can get a nice dramatic effect on my eyes.

I bought mine for about $15-$20(can't remember) but managed to find some stores online that sell it for $10 - Amazon, CVS Pharmacy, Drugstore.com, Bloom.com, Walgreens, Purchase Direct - just to name a few.

It's perfect to wear on it's own or if you want to make a bold statement with your eye make-up.

I think I have officially ditched all other eye liners for gel - I love it!

7 Senses

So more promotion of local friends and their businesses :D

I bring to you:

Specializing in Asian Fashion, 7 senses brings you the latest trends in casual wear. They do ship internationally and accept Visa, Mastercard and Paypal. Everything is displayed in US dollars.

My favourite picks are as follows:

Maggie's Floral Knit Dress - Pink for $14

I like the dainty cute pattern. Personally, I would wear this as a long top as I do not have the legs to pull off this dress.

Elizabeth Retro Evening Dress - Blue for $24

I like this dress because it's simple and girly. It's a deep blue colour which suits most skin tones and you can wear it day or night.

Ariel Contrast Collared Blouse - Green for $15

This top comes in various colours and reminds me of the 50s/60s. It must be her hair as well :) I could see it with a nice floral skirt - all dolled up.

Katie's Vintage Garden Blouse - Black for $12

This is probably my favourite top :D It reminds me of the 1800s where women wore those large hooped skirts. I just love anything delicate and vintage at the moment. Very cute!

Front Folded Collar Blazer - Orange for $39

Really love this colour. This blazer definitely pops and brightens up a plain outfit. I like it because it's versatile in that you can wear it for a special occasion or to add a bit of flare to a casual outfit.

Green Leaves Messenger Bag for $57

I like this bold green colour. It's great because it matches with any bright colours like blue, yellow and red. I like this bag because you don't have to necessarily have to match it to your outfit because it stands on it's own.

Sugar Snap Tote Bag - Red for $25

This bag is great for every day. I like large bags where I can fit all my girl junk in plus it comes in an array of colours. Grab a bag to match all your clothes!

Outfit of the Month - April

20120502-205534.jpg

I know I have blogged about this dress on a previous occasion, but I've worn it so many times to work, that I wanted to share it again. My mustard collared dress cost $14.95 from Temt. My stockings cost 2 for $20 from Equip. My shoes were $10 from Rubi Shoes. My earrings cost $4 from Etsy seller Paper Biscuit. Excuse my pictures as I took the picture after work as oppose to before and I look a bit short and stumpy in my dress. Looks better in person.

All up this outfit cost me less than $50. It's cute and vintage and I'd wear it anywhere from going to work, out to high tea, lunch with friends, a nice dinner or birthday celebrations!! I love it so much I think I've worn it almost every week in April :D

I especially like the stockings because they look like they have been crocheted or knitted. They are actually good for winter.

If you ever want to come shopping with me, I'm more than happy to go out and have a good browse with you. Hope you like my outfit and gives you an idea on what to wear on your next day out :)

My photos were all taken using my iPhone and I used an app called Befunky to put crop and put some nice effects and borders around it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Bellabox - April

20120501-221610.jpg

Subscribed to another Beauty Box - Bellabox. Was excited about choosing this service because of the brands on offer. I've got to say that I wasn't overly impressed by what I received as I felt it didn't take into consideration my beauty profile.

This is what I received:

20120501-222059.jpg

I received some comvita facial samples which was ok because it's an expensive brand. I also got a $2 Ulta3 nail polish in burnt orange which I already bought on a prior occasion. There was a DKNY perfume spray which is good for a quick carry spray to freshen up. The heel cushions would be worthwhile but I don't really go clubbin that often to make full use of it. The benefit hello flawless foundation would have been perfect if they didn't send me the darkest colour imaginable. The only item I could benefit from is the OP Therapy Body Hydrator which is a body cream for sensitive skin. It doesn't have the most pleasant smell but is useful because I do get allergic reactions to some products.

I'm hoping this beauty box offers a better range for the month of May as my excitement was dampened by what I got sent. I looked online and found that some people would have received aromatherapy oils which I probably would have liked because I like filling my room with natural, calming scents.

I brought you this post so you could see what was inside and make a judgment on whether you would like it or not. Hopefully next month my beauty profile is taken into consideration when they send me products involving skin colour. Sorry if this seems like a rant but I guess I was expecting more quality when I subscribed to this brand. Will keep you updated once my new beauty box has arrived. Crossing my fingers that May brings some worthwhile products :)

Ciao!!
