Lesson 80: If you do not want...

Today is about another reiteration of pain. That pain can only be passed through, and there is no way to avoid it by going around it, or placing it on hold. If you don’t want to continue being in pain, it’s about taking on board ALL of the pain in order for your to move forward from it.

So, in the next few days think about all the pain in your life and really take a moment with yourself to feel it all. Then ready yourself to let it all go and the exercise says to just simply release it. You have the power to do this. We all have the power.

I personally feel that my problem is all the attached feeling and emotions I have that come along with pain that I need to release. Like anger, sadness, disappointment… the list goes on and on. I think feeling the pain fully is doable, but then I still think those attached feelings may reside, which is not something easily you can let go of because they are ingrained into your habits, or are your go to reaction (which is automatic) when faced with a similar situation.

What I really think with all the exercises with pain is to more mindful and have more acceptance of it. It’s a natural part of life but it’s how you can overcome it that makes the difference. I definitely think we can release the circumstances that have caused us pain, though don’t think releasing the attached emotions and feelings is as easily done. I feel like that can take time with some retraining of the brain in how we do things and how we react to things. I don’t know, what do you think?

Day 79 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - Your Ability to Feel Pain...

Lesson 79: Your Ability to Feel Pain...

What is one thing that can really hold us back if we let it? That would be Fear. The theme is still revolving around pain and how open we can be to it, but in order to move onto the next passage of the heart, we really need to let go of fear in order to really grow and move forward. We can make the pain pass through fast if we want it. The question is, are we really ready or willing to do this? We can ask the Divine to open us to passing through pain in an instant.

I think fear can be a massive hindrance to us whether we realise it or not. Sometimes we hold onto memories because it’s caused so much pain and sometimes we just don’t know how to let go. I believe this lesson is all about the fear to move on. What would really be the worst thing from letting go of the pain? Is it a fear of what you’ll be because you don’t have pain holding you back? It’s really a question you have to ask yourself. Everyone has their own answers of what they fear and why they hold onto their pain. Maybe it’s a fear of the unknown because once you let go of the pain, because your pain is like second nature, what type of person will you become?

I think I’m pretty open into my pain now that I welcome the lessons that come with it. It can definitely hurt me, but I also try gaining some perspective also. Everyone has their own journey and I really think awareness goes a long way, and then, you can make the decisions you need to in order to move through your pain.

Lesson 79: Weather Maps

Today is about noticing the different spaces within your home and workplace. How do they feel? What do you notice about yourself in the different spaces and does certain areas cause you discomfort and are there places that make you feel quite relaxed. Do you notice the weather of these spaces?

My work space is good when the sun shines. I chose a seat next to the window I could see the outside world but also get a lift from the sun. It’s really quite refreshing as I’ve never really had a window seat until now. It’s also good to close my eyes and meditate at my desk sometimes. My work environment is quite varied. If there is tension in the air, you can feel it. I try to avoid those moments where I feel uncomfortable from the emotions or feelings of others.

Inside my home I still need some work. I have yet to create a space I fully feel comfortable in. that’s not to say that I can’t relax but I am still trying to make it fit to me. I’m like halfway there. Lots of stuff that needs to be released and I want to bring in plants to bring some extra peace to my home. I can’t wait to have a week off to just really switch off from the world and work on the look of my home more. This is coming up soon and I’ll be so relaxed and relieved to do this. Got to get some inspiration going within my home so it’s something I look forward to as well.

Day 78 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - The Pain State Often Takes Months...

Lesson 78: The Pain State Often Takes Months...

Pain is not necessarily an overnight occurrence. It can take weeks, months or years. I know this all too well with my pain lasting years but I feel like I’ve gotten to a point to truly let it go. What’s done is done and it’s time to move forward. It’s through this passage where we really learn – sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. No matter the progress, we still learn each part of the way.

Today is all about asking yourself if you’re tired of your pain and are you ready to move onwards? You can ask the Divine today to speed up your healing process if you need to. I personally am going to a hypnotherapist to help with some past trauma that I have held onto for years. This includes stuff from childhood. I could have easily worked through this on my own because I am so much self-aware now and on my spiritual journey, though I feel like I need a little bit of help given some memories are from over 20 years ago. Some parts of my life, I’ve worked through things and learned to accept them, really letting them go. That’s not to say I wouldn’t have been able to do them on my own, but I do want to speed up the process. I hope my hypnotherapy goes well and I can continue living as the beautiful self that I am.

Lesson 78: Connect With Home

A new week equals a new theme – “Connecting With Home”.

What do us humans react really well towards? Love! So with this week’s theme, it’s to take a moment to think about our homes are exactly like us humans. When it receives love, it feels good and therefore you feel good. I think if we make a space that’s true in our own best interests, then we feel really comfortable, happy, calm and relaxed in our home. I know for me, I still have some work to do to create my happy home. Some things take time, some things take money, but eventually, I will achieve it. Could take me some time but I have the vision, and I will get there slowly. No rush. I feel like when I get there, it will be oh so satisfying.
