Lesson 245: Check In WEEK 35 + VIDEO - Raising Joy

This week focused on the ripple effect – the way happiness from self or others can radiate into our immediate environments to raise the vibration. There was look at our spaces to deal with a section of our homes that felt loved and one that felt unloved, in order to see the differences. We all have the ability to influence the mood of a room whether it’s just within the home or the places you visit. We can raise the vibration at any point and if we are feeling a bit low, ask ourselves why we might be feeling that way and to notice if it stems from the room that you are in. As part of the close of this week, we’re left with this video as a reminder that we can raise the energy in ourselves or others by finding something simple such as music, to help us out of a funk and transform the space around us.

Day 244 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - Heart of Connection, Oneness...

Lesson 244: Heart of Connection, Oneness...

Heart of connection, Oneness, does not imply morality, being helpful or being “good”. It instead means that you accept, define, recognize yourself as One with all others. Morality isn’t a part of this view.
— Sara Wiseman

Today we are to think about dropping the misbelief that we all must be “good”. It may actually go against the grain of your make-up because we are taught in this way that things are good and bad.

I think this is a topic that has depth to it and challenges your frame of thinking. It suggests that through Oneness, we are just One with others. It’s cycling energy and although some people have lows, whilst others have highs, we are all an embodiment of One in its natural flow. Emotions, feelings and experience is definitely not the same from one person to the next in this exact moment, though we would cycle through the same emotions, feelings and experiences as each other over time. It’s an acceptance that through Oneness that we are more connected and the same than we think we are.

I’ve been saying lately that I want to do good things so that good things will come. Don’t worry, we’re all in this same mindset right? Based on this lesson, I’m thinking about how I can shape this into a different belief. I think over the journey of this course, the answer is definitely within that. The way I think I can shape the misbelief of being “good” is to just simply:

·         Treat others the way I want to be treated

·         Show kindness and compassion to others

·         Be understanding of people’s situations

·         Reserve judgement

·         Be accepting and tolerant

·         Be aware and mindful

This allows me to continue to experience through the Oneness without classifying my actions as neither good or bad, but just accepting that this is a state of being. If I live my life like this, then it can also radiate out like a ripple effect to influence us as One. If we are collective, let’s put into practise a better way of existence.

What do you think you have to do in order to do away with the concepts of being “good” or “bad”?

Day 244 - A Year to Clear - What Different Spaces Feel Like

Lesson 244: What Different Spaces Feel Like

Today we are to tune in to different spaces. Go to one space that is full of clutter and notice how you are feeling and if your mood changes. Then, go to a space where you feel harmonious and notice your mood. Notice all the feelings during and after the experience and note them down. Can you compare the experiences without them being either good or bad? Once that is done, filled out the following sentences:

  • Sitting in a space that feels unloved, untended, dark, congested, and cluttered makes me feel [physically, mentally, emotionally]______
  • Sitting in a space that is harmonious, tended, light-filled, sparkly, and clutter-free makes me feel______
  • One small thing I can do today [this week] to change the way my home feels is______

    -------------

My dressing table is one of the most harmonious spots in my home. I made an effort a few weeks ago to really go through and get rid of old make up, I cleaned it up and organised it. to me, it’s currently sitting perfect the way it is. I feel good sitting in front of it when I need to put make up on or just to brush my hair. I even feel good looking at myself in the mirror.

I must say, the rest of my house is in a bit of disarray as some days I just chuck everything everywhere, then tidy up at the end of the week. I do look upon the rest of my home with dread. But I keep telling myself “get shit done” to push myself to make a difference in my own home. It’s not ideal trying to get through the mess but I am the one who created it. like vacuuming just now seemed like such an effort but I need to do it otherwise my house would be dusty as hell.

I guess the noticeable differences is that I’m so happy where my dressing table is but look elsewhere with dread. They aren’t really similar experiences but what I do want is to have that harmonious feeling towards my whole home. There is still stuff I want to get rid of or giveaway so they still take up space. To answer those sentences:

  • Sitting in a space that feels unloved, untended, dark, congested, and cluttered makes me feel dread and overwhelmed.
  • Sitting in a space that is harmonious, tended, light-filled, sparkly, and clutter-free makes me feel genuinely happy and at ease.
  • One small thing I can do today [this week] to change the way my home feels is move things around and find a place for everything to minimise the clutter.

Day 243 - A Year to Clear - Conduct Your Own Happiness Study

Lesson 243: Conduct Your Own Happiness Study

As the title suggests, in the next upcoming few days or weeks, conduct your own happiness study. But why? Much of this course and another course I do called “A Year of Spiritual Awakening in Your Inbox”, there is much talk about being open and expanding connection. If we are all interconnected, then we have direct influence on each other’s energy, in both positive and negative ways. The purpose of conducting your own study will show the impact your moods can have on your family, friends, colleagues etc. You sense of joy and happiness may be directly correlated to someone else that influenced you and then that spreads out to the people you know. Notice how the world is around you and the way it comes back to you.

I personally already know the effects of my environment and the people around me. It’s why I always try and stick with people that I resonate with. If I don’t particularly get along with someone based on their actions, words or values, then why would I spend time with them? I purposely surround myself with good people in order to always have a good happiness ripple effect. If I feel low, I know there are people that I can learn from. I don’t need to do a study to know this. Please do this task today if you have never taken a moment to notice. It may just surprise you in what you will see.

Lesson 243: Heart of Connection is One...

Heart of connection is one of the most difficult passages: it is about releasing all the ideas you have been taught since childhood, and coming into your own as a conscious adult, for the very first time. This may happen at age 20, age 40, age 50. There is no age this must occur, only readiness.
— Sara Wiseman

Today we are to think about beliefs that we are holding onto that are no longer ours.

I think everything that I learned as a child I’ve let go of. I mean, it wasn’t an easy feat to wake up to the world that society is built on. Many things of what we’re fed and taught, I find are untrue. That covers a whole range of topics and I feel like the beliefs I hold onto now are actually mine. This comes from research, curiosity, learning, engaging with others, reading and then structuring my own truth from there. I’ll just go through some of the things I had been taught and shaped into my own beliefs.

I was raised Catholic and do not believe in one God. I don’t believe in hell, and to say that I am going to hell at a young age because I did something bad, is just cruel. I believe Jesus was a healer ahead of his time and was on Earth to teach us to be kind and to practise compassion.

I don’t think respect should be given to just elders – I believe it should be given to all people.

If I have something to say, I should say it. I shouldn’t hide my own truth just to appease someone else’s feelings. If something doesn’t agree with me, I shouldn’t have to give in to another person’s viewpoint.

Woman should not do everything for a man. They should be equals.

Success isn’t how much money you have or having the best job or biggest house. Success is how you want to feel in life and achieving that.

No one has the right to tell you how to live your life. Sure, they can give advice and guide you, but ultimately they should not make the decisions for you. It’s your life, so live it how you want to.

Time is not real. It’s a construct in order to bind us to an illusion that society is built on.

So, these are just a few of mine. What are some of your beliefs that you’ve changed to make your own? Are there still some beliefs that you follow that are not yours?
