Day 171 - A Year to Clear - It's Not Yours

Lesson 171: It's Not Yours

Have you ever started your day feeling really great and then went out into a public space like the shops or work and felt actually depleted? If you believe that we all have energy and that energy flows throughout the Earth, do you think that it’s possible for other people’s negative energy could attach itself to you? Have you noticed this at all? I know I have.

But there is one thing you can do to ensure that you don’t have attachments of stuck energy to yourself – be more mindful and recognising what isn’t yours. One thing my medium teacher taught me was to repeat something to move out anything that doesn’t feel like it’s yours – “If this is not mine, leave now!”. Keep repeating that until the feeling wears off. This identifies any sort of emotion or feeling to be yours and if it goes away, then it was someone else’s energy that got swirled up in yours. Try that out whenever you feel off and see how you feel after!

Day 150 - A Year to Clear - Pet Peeve

Lesson 150: Pet Peeve

We all have pet peeves. Mine are usually in relation to people but today’s lesson is focused on ourselves and our space. What is in your house that is a bit of a pet peeve. Maybe it’s dishes piling up and no one does them. Maybe you have such a big mess of clothes piled on the floor that you don’t know what’s clean anymore so you’re always washing clean clothes. Maybe items are thrown all of over the place, that you just never attend to it.

If we all took a minute to attend to these items and brought awareness as a planet, what would that feeling be like?

When I’m reading this lesson, one of my first thoughts was – I don’t think everyone would stop to think about the pet peeve areas of their house and how they can apply clearing. My thoughts were mainly surrounded by the fact that some people have bigger issues than clearing. LOL. Anyway, I imagine if that we were a collective and consciously cleared items together, there would be an energy shift. What this course has taught me that we are moving about stuck energy, so if we all moved stuck energy, it would make way for more positive things to occur.

What are you thoughts on it?

Day 149 - A Year to Clear - Put Away

Lesson 149: Put Away

Today is about moving stuck energy. Everything has a place right? What are some things you can put away today? These can be simple items such as moving your folded laundry to your closet, putting the car keys away, moving a book to the shelf, making your bed, making sure the toothpaste cap is on… whatever the items, try this exercise for a minute with awareness. Notice the feelings you get and try to do this exercise for a week. Focus on those things that are currently out of place.

I decided to moved some folded laundry on a table in which I will move to my storage room that I use as my closet. I moved some shopping into the kitchen which I had lying in my living room, folded some clothes that were just thrown on my couch and placed a book on the book shelf. They are such simple tasks but I felt good about them being placed where they needed to be. I think this is a good task to repeat for the week. I think if I can continue this feeling, then the stuck energy won’t be there anymore.

What do you think?

Day 41 - A Year to Clear - Quiet the Mind

Lesson 41: Quiet the Mind

Saturday’s lesson focuses on thinking about one thing that I can say or do that will work every time to “quiet the mind and loosen stuck energy”. I am to write it on a Post It not and place it in a noticeable spot to remind me.

My note says “Just Breathe”. Just taking a moment to allow everything to settle down through breath work is beneficial to me. I think it’s beneficial to everyone really. Controlling the storm by taking a moment to step back and breathe through it.

I’m placing this note on my laptop for work as I think that’s where a lot of other people’s energy really starts to impact me. I will also place a post it note at home on one of the walls I pass by frequently. A simple exercise with lifelong benefits.

Day 31 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - Stuck

Lesson 31: When we are stuck...

Today’s lesson revolves around our use of the words “yes” and “no”. When we say “no” we are to consider this as being stuck, there is nothing we should say no to but that it’s all part of our journey and soul growth. We should always be saying “yes”.

I am having trouble figuring out what events and circumstances in which I say no to. This spiritual path I’m on has me the most open I’ve ever been. When you think about all the trivial things we worry about in western society, I’ve learned that none of it matters in the end. When I place my experience with western society against my trip to an elephant village in Thailand last year, it really puts things in perspective. Seeing the way other people living with simplicity opened my eyes, but it also opened my eyes to more conservation required and environmental issues. I was telling a friend yesterday how I struggled to conform back into the way we live in the western world after that trip. I feel now that I am sucked back into the negative cycle that it can be. I’m all for living through experience now but sometimes the conditioning we succumb to in the western world can be inhibiting. We stress in this fast paced environment that isn’t beneficial to our overall health. But anyway…. I’ve gone off topic.

I am 34 this year and I feel like I haven’t really been living. I wasted some time in my 20s but I’m using my time now to really live. I go see live music more than I ever have, I am starting on my creative projects, I push my comfort zones in order to learn. I rarely say no now. I might say no because I want rest, but when I think about it, I’m actually saying yes to some relaxation time. My friend Bonny actually taught me how his life turned around because he started saying yes to everything. It’s kind of like the Jim Carrey movie “Yes Man” – by how saying yes to everything can lead to a very enriching, full, eventful and positive experience. So, that’s how I live now. I live through experience because that’s how I will feel successful in life. Lots of things on the bucket list (a list I’ve misplaced) but there is still a lot of travelling to do, mastery of my witchcraft and light work and eventually I want  to be healing the world. I say yes to everything that allows me to truly live.
